Prepare for an unforgettable experience as the Dane County Fair returns to the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin from July 17th to the 20th, marking its 175th anniversary. This four-day event offers a diverse range of activities and entertainment designed to cater to all ages and interests, promising a multigenerational experience that seamlessly blends learning with fun.

A highlight of the fair is the display of farm animals and livestock exhibits, providing visitors with the opportunity to view and learn about various farm animals. Additionally, youth projects and educational exhibits encourage hands-on opportunities for young people to develop practical skills and showcase projects that combine rural and urban themes.

For those seeking thrilling entertainment, a world-class carnival offers rides and games, while free nightly concerts featuring live music performances add vibrant entertainment each evening. Saturday, July 19th is Farm Fresh Day, with the Cars & Cows Showcase from 8:00 a.m. to noon. In the evening, family fun activities including live music, tractor rides, fair food, and carnival rides will be available. Salsa dance lessons will be offered by The Capitol Social starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Main Stage in the Arena Building.

The fair ends on Sunday, July 20th with Family Day, featuring a day-long party at the main stage with eating contests and live music beginning around noon. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m., with music entertainment going until 10:00 p.m. and carnival hours from 12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

A new event this year is BBQ & Bike night, featuring motorcycles on display by Lama Madison-Tlacuaches and the Latin American Motorcycle Association Madison Chapter from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

For those planning to attend, daily admission at the gate is $15 for 12 years old and over, $10 for youth 6-11 years old, and 5 years old and under get in for free. Credit cards and cash are accepted at the gates. Attendees can save money on admission by buying tickets online.
