A Beautiful Butterfly Graced Our Humble Cabin!
In the heart of Autumn, nestled in a quaint little cabin, a transformation is underway. The author is cosying up their bedroom with a touch of Scandinavian design, specifically Danish products that blend historic functionalism with modern craftsmanship.
The star of the show is the VLA61 Monarch Chair, a distinguished piece designed by the renowned Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen in 1944. Originally part of the Foyer Series for the Radio House in Copenhagen, the Monarch Chair has been carefully reintroduced to the market by Carl Hansen & Søn, a leading Danish furniture manufacturer.
The Monarch Chair, named after the majestic Monarch butterfly, embodies simplicity and sublime craftsmanship. Its lightweight construction and stackability make it versatile for various settings, including private homes, hotels, and restaurants. The design shares a language with other classic Lauritzen pieces, such as the VLA26 Vega Chair from 1956, known for being lightweight and stackable.
