In the heart of England, a 19th-century Georgian home has been brought back to life, thanks to the hard work and vision of its new owner, Jenny. The house, described as 'tired but with good bones', was the perfect canvas for Jenny's creative touch.

Jenny, a passionate collector of textile fragments and vintage finds, fondly dubbed her team the 'dream team'. After nine months of meticulous work, they left her with a blank canvas, ready for Jenny's unique touch.

The renovation process involved repairing rotten roof rafters, installing a new hand-built kitchen, and transforming the living spaces into a harmonious blend of modern comfort and historical charm. The hallway walls, painted in vibrant Invisible Green by Edward Bulmer Natural Paint, contrast beautifully with the black and white chequered flooring.

In the guest bedroom, a Victorian bow-fronted, flame mahogany chest of drawers and vanity mirror take centre stage, with the fireplace surround painted in Hague Blue and the walls in Rangwali, both Farrow & Ball. Jenny's bedroom features Tulip & Honeysuckle wallpaper from Morris & Co and woodwork painted in Breakfast Room Green by Farrow & Ball.

The kitchen, a fusion of old and new, boasts hand-built units that work alongside an antique sideboard, glazed wall cabinet, and old farmhouse table. An original kitchen fireplace has been painted, and a bold purple-coloured Rangemaster takes centre stage.

Jenny's approach to design is one of bold colors and patterns, combining pieces from different eras and continents. This is evident in the dining room, where a mix of styles creates a vibrant and inviting space.

The renovation of this Georgian home is a testament to Jenny's hard work and the fulfilment of a long-held dream - to live in her own Georgian home. The property stands as a shining example of how to maintain historical integrity while incorporating modern comforts, with a focus on symmetry, classic proportions, and balance.

In aligning with her preference for a bold lifestyle and maximalist interior-design, Jenny adorned the house with a palette of vibrant colours and intricate patterns, including the use of Tulip & Honeysuckle wallpaper from Morris & Co in her bedroom. Furthermore, Jenny's home-and-garden transformation included the strategic placement of houseplants, enhancing each room's unique harmonious blend of modern comfort and historical charm.
