Adoption of a Resolution by the European Parliament and Council on a matter of significance
The much-anticipated Neustadt Piepe Lantern Procession is set to take place on November 15th, with preparations in full swing. Organized by Astrid-Verena Dietze from Neustadt Stadtteilmanagement and Julia Renke from the Martinsclub, this year's event aims to be even more inclusive and memorable.
The Piepe lantern event welcomes everyone, including those in wheelchairs, to join in the festivities. The procession, which begins at the Werdersee and ends at the Piepe at the Buntentor, follows along the Kleine Weser.
Upon arrival at the Piepe, a warm-up event with hot drinks and snacks takes place from 5:30 pm. The Bremen Ukulele Orchestra will perform at this event, setting the perfect atmosphere for the evening ahead.
From 4 pm, the meeting point for participants is the kiosk at the Werdersee by the Deichschart, near the "Kirchweg" tram stop. Here, you can purchase specially designed lanterns for the event, with proceeds going towards funding inclusive educational and leisure activities of the Martinsclub.
The traditional procession sets off at 4:30 pm, accompanied by musical entertainment. As the grand finale, fire artist Gordon Ruff will perform a mesmerising fire show at 6 pm.
Last year, the event attracted around 1000 participants, and this year's turnout is expected to be just as strong. The Piepe lantern event is not only a celebration of community spirit but also a chance to support a good cause.
For those interested in purchasing lanterns in advance, a list of participating stores can be found online at www.martinsclub.de/piepeleuchten.
