Affordable and Energy-Efficient Heating Solutions

The city of Göttingen is set to host a series of informative events in the coming months, aimed at shedding light on various aspects of the heat transition.

In September 2025, the city will showcase heating solutions under the motto "More heat with less energy." These events will take place at the Mittelbergschule in Hetjershausen and Groß Ellershausen, the Regenbogenschule in Elliehausen, and the Dorfgemeinschaftshaus Roringen. The events are organized by the city of Göttingen and will provide insights into how Göttingen and its districts can heat in a climate-friendly way in the future.

The event on September 22, 2025, will take place at the Sporthalle Mittelbergschule (Hetjershaüser Weg 30) and is for the districts of Groß Ellershausen, Hetjershausen, and Knutbühren. On September 25, 2025, the Regenbogenschule (Harrenacker 1) will host an event for the districts of Elliehausen, Esebeck, and Holtensen. The event on October 6, 2025, will take place at the Dorfgemeinschaftshaus Roringen (Lange Straße 4) and is for the districts of Roringen, Herberhausen, Nikolausberg, and Deppoldshausen.

During these events, different suitable heating systems will be showcased. The Energy Agency Region Göttingen e.V. and the Housing Agency of the City of Göttingen will be present, ready to answer questions and offer support. The city administration's digital guide, Verwalti, will also be joining the events, ready to answer simple questions and direct attendees to the right contact person.

In April 2026, information events specifically for the city center and neighbourhoods will take place. The goal of these events is to provide comprehensive information on various aspects of the heat transition, including legal requirements, expected energy costs, how to start a renovation, and the support offered by the city. The event details for April 2026 are yet to be announced, but more information can be found on the project homepage at goe.de/heizen.

Feedback or opinions on the events can be sent to YourOpinion@ourwebsite. Registration for city administration news on Telegram and Notify is easy and free, allowing residents to stay updated on the latest news and events.

A poster titled "How will we heat in the future" is available, providing a visual overview of the events and the topics to be covered. The city's heat planning serves as the basis for these insights, with initial results presented at the events.

The city encourages all residents to attend these informative events and take part in shaping Göttingen's future heating solutions.
