This vibrant extravaganza, one of the biggest traditional shooting and folk festivals in Lower Saxony, is a must-visit with its diverse program attracting folks from far and wide.

The festivities commence on Friday, July 4th, when the vivid fireworks display lights up the night sky at 11 pm. The official kickoff, marked by Mayor Urte Schwerdtner tapping the barrel at 8 pm, sets the stage for ten days filled with exhilaration, melody, and tradition.

Thrillseekers' Paradise

Carnival rides will keep your adrenaline pumping throughout the festival! Classic rides such as the Break Dancer No. 2, "Mon Amour" grand Ferris wheel, Commander, Take Off, Big Spin, the water ride Big Splash, and the family roller coaster "Coco Beach" guarantee heart-thumping excitement. While the youngest visitors can have a ball on rides like "Biene Maja" or "Aladin."

Celebrate and Unwind

Alongside the fairground, the Bavarian beer village featuring a festival tent and beer garden beckons you to unwind. Live bands, DJs, and traditional fare promise a lively scene until the wee hours. A bustling pottery and crafts market, complete with stalls, games, and bite-worthy treats, is an integral part of the festivities.

Parade and Family Day

A premier highlight of the festival is the grand shooting and citizens' parade on the first Saturday (July 5th). The procession winds its way through Goslar's storied old town before culminating on the Osterfeld. On Wednesday, July 8th, the delightful Family Day welcome parents with children by offering discounts on rides and stalls.

Opening Hours and Parking

The festivities take place daily from 2 pm, with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays until 2 am, and until midnight on other days. The final day, July 13th, wraps up at 10 pm. Approximately 400 parking spaces are available, including barrier-free options. A frequent Park-&-Ride service from the Bassgeige industrial estate operates every 20 minutes straight to the festival site on Fridays to Sundays. Sadly, man's best friend cannot join in on the fun as no dogs are allowed on the grounds.
