Biking Adventure Afternoon with Loved Ones in Magdeburg

Get ready for an exciting adventure this August as the Magdeburg Bike Culture's Bicycle Scavenger Hunt returns for its 5th edition! On August 3rd, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, cycling enthusiasts of all ages are invited to embark on a journey of discovery through the city centre, Sudenburg, and Stadtfeld.

The goal of the event is to cycle from station to station, uncovering a variety of activities along the way. This year's scavenger hunt promises to be more exciting than ever, with new cycling routes that could inspire future tours. The event encourages playing, storytelling, and relaxed discovery, making it a perfect family-friendly outing or a fun day out with friends.

Participants can collect stickers featuring Magdeburg landmarks at each station for their personal bicycle collection card. The stations include frog crafting at the Gruson greenhouses, a rally through the fire station, creative stations at the Kulturkollektiv and Atelier Stark & Köppe, bicycle surprise actions by the Radkultur at the Glacis, and exploring a bell ringing at the Ambrosiuskirche, among others.

Route planning is left to individual participants, allowing for varying distances. Short tours suitable for children and longer rides are both possible. An overview map is available for download on the official website:

If you manage to collect at least 10 stickers, you'll be eligible to participate in a small ADFC prize draw at the ADFC office at 6:30 PM as a closing event.

The bicycle scavenger hunt is organized entirely by volunteers from the Radkultur Magdeburg, and all participating associations and initiatives also contribute their free time. For further inquiries, contact Isabel Toenniges at Tel.: 0160-4263749 or [email protected]

While specific details about the event's activities, starting points, or route information are not yet available, we recommend checking official Magdeburg city event calendars, local cycling organizations, or the Magdeburg tourism website for the most accurate and updated information. Alternatively, social media related to the Magdeburg bike community may have announcements closer to the event date.

Typical components of a bicycle scavenger hunt event include visiting several predesignated landmarks or locations (often cultural or historic sites), completing challenges or finding clues at each point, and starting from a common meeting place or bike-friendly hub.

We look forward to seeing you at the 5th edition of the Magdeburg Bike Culture's Bicycle Scavenger Hunt!

After the event concludes, you might showcase your collected stickers of Magdeburg landmarks as a unique reminder of your other lifestyle experiences. The outdoor-living adventure could also inspire home-and-garden projects, such as creating a frog habitat inspired by the frog crafting station at the Gruson greenhouses.
