Bloom & Bricks: Hamburg's Eco-Friendly Luxury Quarter Takes Shape
A new residential quarter, 'Bloom & Bricks', is taking shape in Hamburg's Winterhude district. The project, set to complete by 2027, will offer 124 owner-occupied apartments, combining real estate architecture with modern technology and ecological responsibility.
The quarter, bounded by Poßmoorweg, Heidberg, and Krohnskamp, is being developed on around 5,400 square meters by PEG. The architectural office APB Architects is designing the project, focusing on sustainable construction methods, while the Hamburg landscape architectural firm Mera is responsible for the 'Bloom & Bricks' real estate project.
The quarter will feature brick arches, green canopies, and modern balconies, with publicly accessible green spaces and a versatile play area in its inner courtyard. The energy supply will be secured by district heating, photovoltaic systems, and charging stations. Despite its eco-friendly focus, prices for the apartments are high, starting at over 10,000 euros per square meter.
The 'Bloom & Bricks' real estate quarter in Winterhude is set to be a unique blend of traditional brick architecture and modern sustainability. With its green spaces, play areas, and eco-friendly energy supply, it promises to be an attractive place to live, despite its premium pricing.
