Blossoming Van Cleef & Arpels' exquisite jewelry line now unveiled

Van Cleef & Arpels, the renowned French luxury jewellery and watchmaker, has announced a new fine jewellery line called 'Fleurs d'Hawai' – a tribute to its 1938 'Hawaii' jewellery. The collection was unveiled at Ayrshire's Dumfries House, a historic location preserved by Van Cleef & Arpels through its longstanding partnership with The King's Foundation, a UK educational charity founded by King Charles.

The partnership, which dates back over 15 years, has seen Van Cleef & Arpels become the Principal Patron of The King's Foundation Gardens and Estates, supporting the preservation of historic gardens and woodlands across the UK, including Dumfries House and The Castle and Gardens of Mey in Caithness. This collaboration reflects both parties' dedication to nature, craftsmanship, and sustainability in line with The King's Foundation's mission.

The Fleurs d'Hawai collection features vibrant compositions of fine stones adorning earrings, rings, pendants, and watches, showcasing Van Cleef & Arpels’ craftsmanship and its deep connection to nature. The design aims to make the stones look like petals, with the gold disappearing, creating a light and easy-to-wear collection.

One of the highlights of the Fleurs d'Hawai collection is a 'secret' watch added to the 'Fleurs d'Hawai' collection, composed of citrine petals and a mother-of-pearl dial. The watch strap can be easily slid off, and the jewelled dial can be worn separately as a pendant, offering wearers a choice between a watch or a jewel.

In addition to the Fleurs d'Hawai collection, Van Cleef & Arpels also introduced Flowerlace, another floral-inspired line that echoes the Art Deco style through openwork corolla designs in yellow gold and diamonds.

The Fleurs d'Hawai collection marks Van Cleef & Arpels' commitment to preserving the natural surroundings of two of The King's Foundation's historic locations, while expressing the maison’s heritage and modern design sensibility. Rings, necklaces, and earrings in the collection feature rhodolite, citrine, amethyst, peridot, and aquamarine petals, presenting a naturalistic expression of flowers that focuses on the flow of petals and colors.

Van Cleef & Arpels views watchmaking as an opportunity to express jewellery, aiming for their watches to tell stories. The Fleurs d'Hawai collection is no exception, with its pear-cut gems in sorbet shades appearing to float over their reworked settings, creating a visually stunning collection that embodies the spirit of nature and the art of jewellery-making.

The partnership between Van Cleef & Arpels and The King's Foundation, which extends over 15 years, not only focuses on preserving historical gardens but also includes home-and-garden estates, as seen in Dumfries House and The Castle and Gardens of Mey in Caithness. This collaboration, rooted in a mutual commitment to nature, craftsmanship, and sustainability, additionally extends to their lifestyle offerings, with Van Cleef & Arpels introducing a new fine jewellery line, 'Fleurs d'Hawai', that highlights the brand's fashion-and-beauty expertise, exemplified by its floral-inspired designs.
