The city's gastronomy scene is set to welcome a new addition with the opening of Kneipe 80 im Glockenbach on Fraunhoferstraße 19. This pop-up location, previously home to Pasta e Basta, will be managed by Marc Uebelherr, Alex Brenner, and Julie Uebelherr.

Kneipe 80 im Glockenbach is part of a series of pop-up locations by Uebelherr and Brenner, known for their popularity among young people. The new pub, like its counterparts on Barer Street, aims to be a welcoming space for everyone, from street sweepers to lawyers.

The interior of the pub has been spruced up using the existing inventory of the previous establishment. The soft-opening is scheduled for Thursday, September 18, with hours of operation being Mon-Wed: 4 pm to 10 pm, and Thu-Sat: 4 pm to 1 am.

Pricing at Kneipe 80 im Glockenbach is as follows: a half liter of Spaten will cost 4.20 euros, and a glass of wine spritzer will set you back 4.50 euros.

Uebelherr and his team work with people who have good spirit and hospitality, including many students, rather than skilled workers. If the pub is not successful, they plan to move on. However, if it thrives, the duration of Kneipe 80 im Glockenbach may be extended.

The pub's neighbours include the Bergwolf, Giesinger Stehausschank, and Bravo Bar. Uebelherr is optimistic about the project and says they are looking forward to it.

Uebelherr and Brenner also plan to offer international specialty boards at future Kneipe 80 locations, including a mix of Bavarian snack boards and French or Italian aperitif culture.

The Kneipe 80 on Barer Street, previously known as Tresznjewski, has been a well-known and notorious location among the city's pop-up locations. However, its popularity has led to complaints from neighbours about noise due to crowded sidewalks. Uebelherr is not afraid of noise complaints, as the street already has a lot of nightlife, and they aim to fit in respectfully with the gastronomy scene.

The duration of the Kneipe 80 im Glockenbach on Fraunhofer Street is currently six months, as stated by Uebelherr. It remains to be seen how long this new addition to the city's gastronomy scene will stay. But for now, it's a place where everyone can come together and enjoy a drink.
