City Maps for Solingen's Municipal Buildings Now Accessible
The much-anticipated Nikolaussingen event in Solingen, Germany, is set to take place at the Walder Stadium on a date yet to be announced. This annual celebration, organized by City Works Solingen (SWS), promises a moment of peace and contemplation, as expressed by Leif Reitis, the managing director of SWS.
Visitors are invited to attend the event starting from 6 pm, with the main programme commencing at 7 pm. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants, especially children and families, a comprehensive safety concept has been put in place.
Controlled Access and Crowd Management are key aspects of the safety measures. Designated entry and exit points will prevent overcrowding, and the number of attendees will be managed to avoid exceeding capacity limits.
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, COVID-19 Precautions will also be implemented. Hygiene stations with hand sanitizers will be available, and social distancing signs and enforcement will be in place in key areas. Mask mandates or recommendations will depend on current health guidelines.
Emergency Medical Services will be on standby, with first aid stations staffed by trained personnel and ambulance or rapid response teams ready for emergencies. Security Personnel will oversee the event, handle disturbances, and provide assistance, working in coordination with local police forces.
Child Safety Measures include clear identification badges or wristbands for children in case they get separated from their guardians, and dedicated lost-and-found or reunification points.
Fire Safety is another priority. Clearly marked fire exits and escape routes, fire extinguishers, and prevention measures will be in place, especially near stages, lighting, or electrical equipment.
Clear Communication will be maintained through public address systems for announcements and emergency instructions, and signage throughout the venue for directions, safety rules, and information points. Regular cleaning schedules for restrooms and public areas, along with proper waste disposal facilities, will ensure Sanitation and Cleanliness.
This year, an extended safety concept will be implemented at the Nikolaussingen event. In addition, the Solingen Paladins football team will support the event, and mulled wine and sausages will be available for purchase from 6 pm. The event will feature performances by the project choir and the symphonic wind orchestra of the municipal music school.
For a more comfortable experience, visitors are kindly asked to refrain from bringing bags larger than A4 size for safety reasons. Due to limited parking options, public transportation is recommended for the event. Saint Nicholas and two angels will visit the event, giving small gifts to all visitors. The lyrics of the Christmas carols will be displayed on screens during the event.
For the most accurate and up-to-date safety concept document or measures for the current year, it is best to consult the Solingen city official website or contact the event organizers directly. We look forward to a safe and enjoyable Nikolaussingen in Solingen!
