Kick your summer off right with the Klompenkirmes in Vluyn, starting on June 13th! The traditional tapping of the barrel marks the official beginning, happening in the town center at 5 pm sharp. This lively fair lasts for four days, decorating the Museumsplatz and the Niederrheinallee until the wrap-up on June 16th.
Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Vluyner Klompenfreunde, the Sunday parade promises to be a grand affair. Keep an eye out for more current news from nearby towns like Moers, Kamp-Lintfort, and Neukirchen-Vluyn.
Start the festivities a bit early! The fun begins two hours before the opening ceremont, that is, from 3 to 5 pm, with the "Happy Hour" offering discounted rates on rides and goods. With a total of 36 participating showmen, including food and drink vendors, the Klompenkirmes is shaping up to be a fantastic celebration.

Don't miss out on the unique rides like the "Grass Auto-Scooter", the "Crazy Dancer", and the "Music Express". Sunday's festivities center around the Vluyner Klompenfreunde's 75th anniversary, featuring a parade and festivities in the celebratory tent on the Platz am Museum. The fun continues on Monday with the traditional Klompenball, complete with a parade of the Klompenfreunde through Vluyn before the fair winds down in the evening.

Practical Info
As the fair progresses, the Niederrheinallee between Trox junction and Vutzkreisel will be closed from Wednesday evening until around noontime on Tuesday. This means parking will not be available in the Niederrheinallee, Pastoratstraße, Bruckhausfeld, and Leineweberplatz during this period.
In addition, the Pastoratstraße between the Niederrheinallee, the Bruckhausfeld, and the Platz am Museum will be closed completely. The Niag bus line will run a detour route until June 17th. The Trox and Springenweg bus stops, within the closure area, will be permanently closed. The Vluyner Platz bus stop will be temporarily relocated to the Vluyner Nordring, near the Edeka market.
