Offenbach Carnival Club Announces New Honorary Members for Upcoming Event
The Offenbach Carnival Club (OKV) has announced five new members to its honorary council, including local figures and enthusiasts of carnival events. The new members are Anja Kofahl, Lukas Kreher, Silke Seeger, Gertrud Marx, and Kim-Sarah Speer.
Anja Kofahl, chairwoman of the Offenbach cultural committee, has been appointed for her dedication to carnival events. Lukas Kreher, a former Lederbaron from Obertshausen, has been recognized for his efforts in strengthening the friendship between the carnivalists of Offenbach and Obertshausen. Silke Seeger, granddaughter of Alfred Seeger, a former Landesverweser of Lederania in Offenbach, has been honoured for her support of the Offenbach carnival. Gertrud Marx, chairwoman of the Tempelsee settlers' community and honorary city councilor, has been appointed for her long-standing presence at Offenbach carnival events. Lastly, Kim-Sarah Speer, a member of the state parliament, has been recognized for her support of the preservation of the Offenbach carnival tradition.
The OKV campaign is set to be a lively event, with the traditional storming of the town hall scheduled for February 15, 2025, at 1:11 PM. The day's events will begin with a visit to the weekly market at 10:00 AM, followed by the storming, and a stage program on the town square which is free for all carnival enthusiasts. An autograph session will take place at the KOMM Center from 11:00 AM.
