Exploration of the MKK Exhibit at Kunstpalast
The Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf is hosting a thought-provoking exhibition, "Hans-Peter Feldmann", which delves into the intriguing intersection between art and everyday life. The exhibition, curated by Felicity Korn, the head of the 20th and 21st century collection at the Kunstpalast, offers a comprehensive retrospective of the work of the late artist Hans-Peter Feldmann.
Feldmann's art is a fascinating exploration of themes such as curiosity, social clichés, the relationship between original and copy, consumption, and (pop) culture. He collects an eclectic array of reproductions, including photographs, postcards, advertising brochures, and plaster casts, recontextualising them within the realm of art.
Korn explains that Feldmann aimed to question the social role of images and objects and bring art and everyday life closer together. His works are often playful, humorous, and direct, offering a fresh perspective on the ordinary and the mundane.
The exhibition is scheduled to travel to Düsseldorf and the Kunst Museum Winterthur, providing art enthusiasts with an opportunity to engage with Feldmann's distinctive style and work. Registration for the exhibition can be made with Christa Ahrend-Wilke at 02159 50543 or [email protected].
The meeting point for the exhibition is at 11:45 am in the foyer of the Museum Kunstpalast. The cost for members to attend the exhibition is 20 euros, while guests pay 22 euros.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the captivating world of Hans-Peter Feldmann and experience the fascinating interplay between art and everyday life.
