Step into a kitchen game-changer, nestled in the heart of North London! This exquisite transformation, masterminded by Matt Prall and Stephen Garland, takes the ordinary kitchen and turns it into a breathtaking showcase of impressive marbling designs.
Currently making waves in kitchen trends, marble is no longer confined to countertops; it now graces the walls as splashbacks and adorns doorframes. This kitchen elevates the norm by seamlessly merging marble with exceptional craftsmanship.
"To establish a serene and harmonious ambiance, we opted for a minimalist, earth-inspired color palette," shares Matt Prall, an accomplished designer at Papilio Bespoke Kitchens, reflecting the tranquillity exuded throughout the kitchen.
The harmonious use of color effortlessly ties together every intricate detail, turning this culinary space into a captivating haven.
Embracing Marble with a Twist
By embracing marble in enticing and novel ways, while blending it with various materials and textures, this kitchen's design transcends traditional boundaries.
"To add warmth and texture," Matt explains, "our team expertly crafted oak-finished cabinets that beautifully contrast the soft, whitewashed walls and dark-tinted glass appliances."
The marriage of tones and exquisite materials is the focal point of this unforgettable kitchen. While the materials command respect, they harmoniously unify the space rather than overwhelming it.

"Our pièce de résistance lies in the magnificent kitchen island, meticulously encased in splendid Arbescato marble with its elegant, curved edges," Matt shares.
The island, resplendent in gleaming 20mm Arbescato marble, boasts a bullnose, shadow gap, and flowing countertop edges that amplify its beauty without weighing it down.
"The island is devoid of appliances, designed purely for preparation and serving as a striking feature," Matt clarifies.
Nestled within the island, the preparation side boasts 3 drawers and 2 cupboards with double doors, creating a bespoke hosting space for cutlery.
Exceptional Kitchen Storage Solutions
Organizing kitchen storage efficiently is crucial, and this design doesn't disappoint. Opting for floor-to-ceiling cabinets and creative hidden storage solutions, the designers strike the perfect balance between optimizing space and maintaining a clutter-free environment.
"Our client emphasized the need for ample storage and functionality, so we thoughtfully designed floor-to-ceiling cupboards that inconspicuously house a refrigerator and a generous double-door pantry," Matt elaborates.
To streamline the pantry, the designers created a walk-in pantry, offering effortless access to kitchen essentials while seamlessly concealing a Fisher & Paykel freezer to maintain the kitchen's immaculate appearance.
The marble-clad archway leading to the walk-in pantry serves as the striking centerpiece of this kitchen, accentuating the marriage between contemporary design and traditional architectural elements. Matt notes, "The archway complements the existing oak doorway, beautifully blending modern glazing with historical charm."
The entire base of the archway, as well as other key elements in the kitchen, features pippy oak, creating a captivating blend of rustic warmth against the sleek, pristine marble.
Integrated Appliances for Unified Style
To ensure cohesion in the kitchen's overall aesthetic, the appliances have been cleverly integrated within the cabinet units, yielding contrast and depth.
"Adjacent to the main cooking area, we conceived a classy appliance stack with two Miele ovens, a wine fridge, and a tinted glass cupboard at the top, forming the sleek black cabinet front," Matt reveals.
A Fluid and Timeless Design
A kitchen that is easy to navigate and visually appealing is a priority, and this kitchen delivers! With marble seamlessly integrating the island, splashback, archway, and countertops, an uninterrupted flow permeates the space.
"The sink and Bora hob have been meticulously positioned along the rear wall, to maintain the continuity of the marble flow," Matt states. "A floating marble shelf, effortlessly suspended above them, adds a touch of practicality without overpowering the atmosphere."
This stunning transformation is the epitome of modern interior design, triumphantly reviving the use of marble and oak to create an unusual yet harmonious symphony that glorifies the space.
