Former Show Jumper Turns Passion into Dog Rescue Mission
Paige Johnson, a 32-year-old former international show jumper, has turned her passion for animal care into a mission to save high-risk dogs. She established 'Their Voice Rescue' in Delaplane, VA, focusing on providing a 'forever home' for dogs in need.
Paige's journey began with ambitious plans for an exotic animal sanctuary as a child. Now, she uses her skills and experience to rehabilitate and rehome dogs from kill shelters. She has trained with renowned figures like Bill Maroney and Kent Farrington, which has honed her understanding of animal behaviour and care.
Their Voice Rescue currently cares for eight dogs, with seven ready for adoption. The organization collaborates with other rescue groups to save at-risk dogs and provide them with individual care and attention. Paige aims to expand the rescue to accommodate 30 dogs at a time. She is also a 'horse collector', offering a safe haven to her former competition horses at her farm in The Plains, VA.
Their Voice Rescue, under Paige's dedicated leadership, is making a significant impact in saving high-risk dogs. To learn more or inquire about adopting, visit theirvoicerescue.org. The organization welcomes support and advice from committed individuals to further its rescue dog operations.
