Minus the age gap, Kai and Amelia could've joined offered a grand ol' time too, but alas, it's just us and Robin on this day. Fun-loving Robin is ever so eager for new adventures, so when we stumbled upon Wowland Soft Play, recently opened in town, she was thrilled!
The reservation process online was a breeze, scoring us an hour slot—a pop-up cautioning about every booking detail was a mild inconvenience. Now, about that hour... Let's just say, time flies when you're having fun!
We arrived slightly before our slot, as advised, and rejoiced upon hearing that our playtime started when we did. Our ticket unlocked the fascinating, walled play area at Wowland. Secure cabinets for storing our shoes and belongings, coupled with some tables, were handy features. However, seating was limited, with the tables near the entrance often obstructed by strollers.
The indoor soft playground at Wowland was quirky, boasting a large volcano slide that was the highlight of our visit. Climbing up that colossal structure and sliding down together was an invigorating treat. Nearby, we found a peg board brimming with soft pegs just waiting for creative touches—Robin and I left our mark with initials and hearts. A ball-launching contraption and a bouncy, panko display entertained little ones, while older kids had a blast with arcade-like attractions.
In the heart of the playground stood a ball pit and slide area for little ones under 5, a favorite hangout spot. Bigger kids could navigate dynamic obstacle courses brimming with rock walls, trampolines, and slides. Some play structures, though, seemed neglected, with broken or ripped pieces scattered around.
Remarkably clean, Wowland was a vibrant hub of family fun. Staff efficiency was on point, especially at the door, ensuring each guest was legitimate.
