Citizens of Komi retain the opportunity to vote on items for improvement using budget funds for the upcoming year.

Galina Lapshina expresses a desire for increased resting spots.

Galina Lapshina, Chairperson of the Public Council of Syktyvkar and leader of the regional women's movement, has cast her vote in the rating voting for urban spaces to be improved in the Komi region as part of the federal project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" (FGC).

Voting for the project, which is a part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," lasts until June 12, 2025. Residents of Komi still have time to participate and vote for the objects they want to see improved next year using budget funds. Voting is available on the website www.example.com.

Lapshina expressed her gratitude for the beautification of the 'under the clock' square in Syktyvkar and praised the impact of the federal program on making such spaces appearance in different parts of the city. She encouraged her colleagues and fellow residents to participate in the vote, stating that by choosing the places they want modernized, cozy, and pleasant, they contribute to making the city a better place for leisure.

Lapshina voted for an object in the capital of Komi and called upon her peers and residents to support by choosing any of the municipalities covered by the rating voting. She also encouraged residents of other regions to help their neighbors in cities across Komi, as they all share the common goal of assisting the authorities in developing the urban environment.

Since 2025, the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" has been part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." From 2019 to 2024, the program enhanced 854 spaces (488 public territories and 366 courtyards) in 46 municipal formations of urban and rural settlements in Komi. In 2025, public and courtyard territories that received the most votes from citizens in the 2024 rating voting will be improved. This summer, a total of 84 objects (40 public spaces and 44 courtyards) are planned to be improved.

In 2025, a total of 34 objects and 2 design projects are being presented for voting in nine municipalities across Komi: Inta, Usiнsk, Eмовa, Sosnogorsk, Syktyvkar, Zheshart, Ukhta, Pechora, and Vorkuta. These projects include various pedestrian zone, playground, courtyard, sidewalk construction, and square improvement plans.

Residents interested in finding more detailed information about the projects and timelines should consult official municipal or regional government websites in Komi for up-to-date information on current and planned development initiatives.
