Gardening associations make an appearance at the Horticultural Show
From July 7th to 9th, the County Strahlfeld Garden Show is set to bloom at the county fairgrounds. Hosted by the gardening associations of the county, this three-day event promises a delightful blend of horticulture and traditional craftsmanship.
Each day of the show will feature a themed garden named "Borderless beauty", providing a stunning backdrop for visitors to explore. On July 8th, the spotlight shifts to the OGV Strahlfeld, where the topic of "Leather Punching" will be explored.
Admission to the show is $10 per person, with discounts for seniors and children. The event opens its doors to the public from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM every day.
Visitors can expect a variety of activities, including demonstrations of traditional gardening techniques, workshops on plant care, pruning, and propagation. The Fruit and Garden Association Strahlfeld will exhibit long-forgotten craftsmanship under the motto "Old Crafts". On the first day of the event, visitors can even participate in the rush broom-making workshop. However, it's important to note that rush broom-making will not be offered on July 8th.
Throughout the event, visitors can also enjoy exhibitions of heirloom plants and vintage garden tools, as well as opportunities to purchase plants and handmade garden decorations.
For those interested in learning more about local gardening resources and events, the gardening associations of the county will provide valuable information during the show.
The County Strahlfeld Garden Show promises to be a vibrant celebration of gardening and craftsmanship, offering something for everyone.
