Gardens across the Ruhr Region will be open to public visitation on September 6th and 7th, marking their final openings for the year.

The "Open Gardens in the Ruhr Arc" project, organised by the City of Arnsberg, is a community event taking place in the municipalities of Arnsberg, Frödenberg, Hemer, Iserlohn, Menden, and Neuenrade in 2025. This exciting initiative contributes to the implementation of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and supports the sustainability strategy of Arnsberg.

On September 6th, visitors can experience the "Garden of Lights" event at the historic vineyard in Arnsberg, from 6 PM to 10 PM. It is recommended to park at the Altstadt garage at Neumarkt for this openai event. The historic vineyard can also be visited on September 7th, between 11 AM and 6 PM.

The Stadtlabor community garden, located behind the Stadtlabor freiRAUM at Neumarkt in Alt-Arnsberg, will open its doors to visitors on September 7th. Developed with the help of the Arnsberg Climate Group, this garden features an insect hotel, photovoltaic system, and various habitats for insects.

While the "Open Gardens in the Ruhr Arc" project does not state specific criteria for garden design or sustainability, it does offer opportunities for relaxation, garden inspiration, and social interaction. Visitors can make new contacts with other visitors and garden owners.

For more information about the "Open Gardens in the Ruhr Arc", please visit https://www.gaerten-im-ruhrbogen.de/. Please note that no registration is required for the "Garden of Lights" eventbrite event, but parking directly at the vineyard is not possible.

The final weekend of the "Open Gardens in the Ruhr Arc" is approaching. This project is not solely focused on gardens, but also offers a thrilling peek into strangers' homes, making it a unique and engaging experience for all participants.
