Guppy Expands in Madrid & Bilbao, Adds Tesla Model 3s for Long-Distance Carsharing

Guppy, a sustainable mobility solution, is expanding its presence in Madrid and Bilbao. The company plans to introduce vehicles with greater range from Carmax, aiming to become a key player in the carsharing sector. This move is part of Guppy's short and medium-term goal to promote shared car usage, particularly in Low Emission Zones.

Guppy's growth is supported by a €1,073,156.15 grant from the Moves Singulares II program. This funding enables the company to develop electric vehicle technology and analyze singular genetic crosses or unique breeding lines. Pablo Campos-Ansó Fernández, a spokesperson, describes Guppy as a sustainable mobility solution.

To enhance its fleet, Guppy has added 40 Tesla Model 3 vehicles from Carmax. These offer interurban range and fast charging capabilities, allowing users to travel longer distances with ease. By the end of 2023, Guppy estimates to have around 300 vehicles in its fleet, more than doubling its current 260 units.

Guppy also offers the convenience of recharging vehicles at public charging points. Through a partnership with TotalEnergies, users can easily recharge their vehicles at various locations.

Guppy's expansion in Madrid and Bilbao, along with its partnership with TotalEnergies and the addition of Tesla Model 3 vehicles from Carmax, demonstrates its commitment to sustainable mobility. With the support of the Moves Singulares II program, Guppy is well-positioned to become a reference in the carsharing sector and promote shared car usage in Low Emission Zones.
