Join the renowned local artist, Margaret Parsons, for an enchanting and creative workshop where you'll design a nature-themed clay tile, perfect for your home or garden.

This inspiring session will commence with a brief stroll, immersing you in the beautiful summer wildlife and landscapes, serving as the inspiration for your tile designs. Once you've been captivated by the surrounding nature, head back to the visitor center to get the crafting underway! Use crayons, pencils, and sketch paper to draw or scribble your designs. After that, Margaret will guide you through the process of rolling out your clay and pressing your designs into air-dry clay. You may even have the opportunity to incorporate fresh flowers to add natural textures to your masterpiece. Margaret will show you examples of her incredible work and provide tips to help you master the art of working with clay.

Ideal for beginners or budding artists, this workshop is a fantastic opportunity to delve into nature and let your imagination run wild!

Age Group:

Adults and children aged 6+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Workshop Schedule:

The day will include a lunch break during which you can either purchase food from the cafe or bring your own packed lunch. Most of the workshop will be held indoors, but suitable clothing for a short walk around the reserve is recommended.

Materials Provided:

Margaret will provide sketch paper, pencils, air-dry clay, stamps, fresh flowers, and all the necessary materials for your tile designs.
