Headed to Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf, Germany - The city of Düsseldorf is gearing up for an exciting summer holiday season, with over 3,500 places available for children and young people to meet, exchange ideas, and participate in a diverse range of activities. The holiday program, which will run from one, two, or three weeks, will be offered in small and fixed groups, daily from 9 am to 4 pm.

The Youth Office, in collaboration with free carriers and Düsseldorf youth associations, has put together a varied program that includes sports and movement, art and media, adventures, and creativity. The city sports association's sports action bus will provide highlights such as archery, a football camp, volleyball, and other sports. Young participants can also make big jumps at the parcours offered by the Evangelical Youth in Düsseldorf and participate in knightly games as part of the common program.

The Düsseldorf adventure playgrounds will offer special programs during the summer holidays, with activities including hammering, sawing, digging, building booths, dealing with animals, and nature experiences. Participants can look forward to a safe and fun-filled summer, as the holiday program will adhere to coronavirus-compliant guidelines, such as limited group sizes, hygiene measures, and event locations suitable for distancing.

Registrations for the holiday program will be possible from June 12, 10 am, with the respective carriers of the measure. For more information, interested parties can contact the youth center zeTT at the main station (telephone 8922033). City Director Burkhard Hintzsche has expressed his gratitude to the free carriers and youth associations for putting together a varied and coronavirus-compliant offer at short notice.

It is recommended that participants check official Düsseldorf city websites, local youth services, or contact the city's youth welfare office directly for the most accurate and up-to-date details on the summer holiday program, including details about locations, activities, registration, or costs. Participation costs are €35 per week and child, or €17 per week and child for Düsseldorf pass holders.

In previous years, holiday offers were prohibited due to relevant regulations, but a coronavirus-compliant implementation is now possible. The offers for 2025 are mostly local due to short notice, but the individual Düsseldorf holiday offers are complemented by central "highlights" carried out at different locations in the city area by different carriers.

In collaboration with free carriers and local youth associations, the city of Düsselforf is offering a diverse summer holiday program that encompasses a lifestyle blend of sports, art, adventure, and creativity. This program, taking place at home-and-garden settings such as adventure playgrounds, will provide a safe and enjoyable experience for participants, with measures adhering to coronavirus guidelines.
