Heide-Hombruch Residents Revitalize Community Garden

Residents of Heide-Hombruch recently came together to maintain and enhance their community garden. Five raised beds were tended and berry bushes were replanted, with volunteers agreeing that the 'Together - be involved' motto drives their efforts. Contact Hinrich Riemann from the Volunteer Service Office for support with similar projects.

The joint action saw volunteers collecting trash and composting weeds and faded plants. They also planted new perennials that will bloom in the fall, and bulbs that will create a spring flower spectacle. Additionally, winter vegetables and frost-resistant lettuce are expected to be harvested in a few weeks. The 'Continue' project, which is not explicitly named, has been instrumental in maintaining the open community garden.

The community garden in Heide-Hombruch is thriving thanks to the efforts of dedicated volunteers. With Hinrich Riemann from the Service Office for Volunteering on hand to support further activities, the garden continues to be a source of pride and a place for friendly encounters.
