In Penkun, the summer season is marked by the distribution of complimentary beer and pulsating techno tunes.
The charming town of Penkun is gearing up for an unforgettable weekend as its annual summer festival approaches. From August 1st to 2nd, the city's outskirts will transform into a hub of entertainment, health initiatives, and community spirit.
The festivities will commence on Friday, August 1st, with the official opening of the new health trail, "Penkun on the Move," located at Stettiner Tor 2, near Dr. Anne Becker's practice. This trail invites everyone who wants to join, encouraging participants to come once and get to know it.
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy various attractions such as carriage rides, face painting, and a captivating pigeon performance at 3:30 PM. Musical delights will fill the air as well, with the Rossow shawm band playing from 6:30 PM, followed by DJ Hausi around 8 PM. The evening will be capped off by a Techno DJ, Oliver Löper, who will take the stage from 1 AM, and a Böhse-Onkelz cover band starting at 11 PM.
On Saturday, August 2nd, the actual celebration will begin at 10 AM. Antje Zibell, Penkun's mayor, invites everyone to join in the fun. In the afternoon, adults can participate in a relay race, with each team required to have at least six participants. Interested parties can register by calling 01741 535956. The race will be followed by an award ceremony around 2:30 PM.

The German Bone Marrow Donor Center will collect registrations for potential stem cell donors from 12 PM to 4 PM on Friday. The DKMS encourages people to come for registration if they want to save someone's life, requiring a mobile phone for registration.
A keg tapping will occur at precisely 5:17 PM on Friday, but for specific details, we recommend checking the official Penkun town website or local cultural event pages.
Ingo's sailors in Lederhosen will perform from 3 PM on Friday, and magician clowns will entertain at 5 PM. DJ Itz will take the stage from 7 PM on Friday, adding to the festive atmosphere.
