"Journeying Across Space and Time"
The Night of Wonders Expands: Arrival of Three Galactic Bodies – The RED, City Archive, and Central Library in KAP1 at the Kid's Cosmic Extravaganza.
Prepare for a stellar night out as the Kid's Cosmic Extravaganza makes its grand expansion! The RED - Restoration Center Düsseldorf, the City Archive, and the Central Library in KAP1 are the latest cosmic fragments joining the cosmos of the Night of Wonders for children. Due to the increased distances, for the first time, we'll have two red double-decker spacebuses cruising as "KiMuNa-Shuttles" - free of charge - connecting the main station, Ehrenhof, and the old town throughout the night.
Cultural Deputy, Miriam Koch, shares her excitement, "The Kid's Cosmic Extravaganza continues to expand its horizons. We're thrilled that captivating destinations, such as the Central Library, now invite kids on an interstellar tour of nighttime exploration. The shuttle buses will ensure a smooth journey for our young astronauts, proving that a love for cosmic exploration knows no age!"
Apart from the thrilling flashlight missions, there's a galaxy of creative workshops awaiting: In the Restoration Center, young astronauts can patch up cosmic flaws in famous celestial bodies. Aspiring movie stars can capture their otherworldly selves at the galaxy-themed selfie station, nestled in parts of the original film set of Pettersson and Findus at the Film Museum.
The printing station welcomes extraterrestrial artists at the Central Library, inviting creative designs. At the City Archive and City Museum, visitors can embark on a time journey across the cosmos. The City Museum takes you through the last 150 light-years, while the City Archive offers a chance to learn ancient galactic scripts in the writing workshop. A cosmic highlight unfolds in front of the Memorial and Remembrance Site - there, a historical space shuttle may be viewed.
