The 48th Kuwait International Book Fair is set to take place from November 19 to 29, 2025, under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The fair, a celebration of Kuwait's cultural prominence and advancements in knowledge and information technology fields, will also mark Kuwait's designation as the Arab Capital of Culture and Media for 2025.

The Sultanate of Oman is the guest of honor at this session, and the event aims to highlight Omani culture, literature, and heritage. The organizing committee, led by Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, has been actively reviewing key preparations and logistical arrangements for the fair.

One of the major initiatives discussed is the Young Authors Pavilion, a new concept aimed at nurturing youth talent. This pavilion aims to provide platforms for creativity and literary skill development, particularly focusing on young writers and children.

The committee has also been discussing several ideas for enriching the public's experience, including interactive events and knowledge-based activities. To ensure a successful event, they have emphasized media and marketing strategies alongside financial and administrative planning.

The fair will showcase Kuwait's cultural status on an international platform, reflecting its role in both cultural and technological developments. A well-coordinated promotional campaign will be implemented to attract local, regional, and international audiences.
