Movie Night in Bryant Park: The Godfather Screening on August 11 Marks the End of the Outdoor Movie Season
The much-anticipated Movie Night in Bryant Park is set to conclude for the 2025 season with a special screening of The Godfather on August 11. This beloved event, one of the park's longest-running traditions, has been a highlight of the summer for many New Yorkers.
The lawn will open for picnicking at 5:00 PM, providing ample time for moviegoers to set up their blankets and prepare for an evening of cinematic delight. The movie will start around 8:00 PM.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets, reusable water bottles, and snacks, though local food, beer, wine, and summer refreshments will also be available at the event. Unfortunately, chairs, alcohol, and coolers are prohibited on the lawn.
For a smoother experience, it is recommended to coordinate with your group of friends and arrive early, as people often start lining up much earlier than the lawn opening time. Once a spot on the lawn fills up, it's hard to save spots.
