New Sustainable News Development Launched in Kirkcaldy

CALA Homes has collaborated with the JR Group to develop a new sustainable news project in Kirkcaldy, as announced by Fife Housing Group. The development, consisting of 49 houses with varying numbers of bedrooms, is part of Fife Housing Group's commitment to building sustainable communities.

The official launch of the new homes was attended by David Jackson, who expressed his excitement about moving into one of the wheelchair-accessible bungalows. As a tenant struggling with the stairs in his current home, he stated that having a home like this will make a huge difference to his life. He also expressed his delight about not having to worry about getting up and down stairs anymore.

Nicki Donaldson, the chief executive of Fife Housing Group, expressed her delight at the launch of the new development. She highlighted that the development offers affordable homes and includes wheelchair-accessible bungalows with a selection of adaptations. The bungalows are designed to meet the needs of tenants with mobility issues.

The new development also features some houses being used to trial new electric battery storage technology. In addition, bird and bat boxes have been installed on some properties to enhance the natural news. An existing wildflower meadow has been retained, and new footpaths have been created to further enhance the natural news.

Each house in the development incorporates photovoltaic solar panels and enhanced insulation, making them energy efficient. The new homes are expected to have a positive impact on tenants and are designed to be enjoyed by tenants and to foster a wider community.

David Jackson, a tenant who will be moving into one of the wheelchair-accessible bungalows, expressed his gratitude towards Fife Housing Group for their commitment to delivering sustainable news solutions. He believes that the new development will not only improve his quality of life but also contribute positively to the climate agenda.

The development continues to show Fife Housing Group's commitment to delivering against the climate agenda. With the new homes, the group aims to provide sustainable, affordable, and accessible news solutions for the community. The partnership with the JR Group has been instrumental in making this development a reality.
