Mark your calendars for an upcoming event near me on October 7th, 2025, hosted by the Housing and Neighborhood Development Office. The event will focus on the cooperative housing project 'Weiler 1 Oxford' and aspects of cooperative living in Münster. The event will take place in the event room of the 'Kurbelbox e.V.' quarter association in the 'Green Weiler' at Gumprichstrasse 44, starting at 6:30 PM. The 'Weiler 1 Oxford' project is the first construction and living space of the cooperative 'Green Weiler eG' on the site of the former Oxford barracks in Gievenbeck. The project will consist of three buildings with more than 120 residential units, set to be completed in spring 2025 and accommodate around 250 residents. The project offers a mix of different living forms, catering to various age groups and life situations.
Birgit Pohlmann, a housing project developer, will moderate the event. Participants will gain insights into the community areas of the project, including co-working and event spaces, wood and bike workshops, and a shared kitchen and dining area called 'Kulinarium'.
