June 1stunleashed a vibrant children's extravaganza on Almaty's streets and public spaces.

Nurzhol Boulevard witnessed a spectacle during the II International Clown Festival, showcasing international artists’ theatrics. Assembled from around the globe, these performers strutted in a dazzling parade. The parade began at the Bayterek monument, meandering through the city before ending at Khan Shatyry Shopping Center's Park of Lovers. A charity event culminated the affair at Kazmedia Hall, a magical performance to remember.

Children-focused festivities also lit up the city square in front of the akimat, aiming to celebrate International Children's Day. The Public Foundation "Special Holidays" organized the lively "Children - Our Joy" event, with support from the Saryarka district akimat. Notable appearances included artists from Italy, Spain, Russia, and Belgium, amusing the city's crowd.

The famous Murtuganov family, Taraz clowns, "Licedei" theater artists, Spanish performer Hugo Sanchez, Italian duo Danny and Divo, and Belgian clown Barto, made the festivities a fascinating spectacle. A neighbor's recommendation brought Balgash, a mother of a special child, to the event for her son's joyous day.

A family-centric sports competition named "Tolagai" unfolded on NS Street, initiated by the joint efforts of Almaty's Akimat, the Police Department, and the city's Physical Culture and Sports Department. This initiative aimed to foster family values and counter domestic violence.

Over 15 teams from Almaty district multi-child families participated, competing in eleven sports and intellectual contests. Aigul Sultanghazina, a participant, noted that the event helped unite families during the preparation stages and offered Positive experiences.

Madina Shahanova, a capital resident, praised the well-organized festival for offering engaging games for children and memorable gifts for participating. In the Central Park, training sessions and consultations for children and adults took place, providing valuable insights and helpful advice from specialists.

Separately, the prosecutor's office, akimat, and Astanan Volleyball Federation united to organize a two-day volleyball tournament in honor of International Children's Day at the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Sports Complex. Notable attendees included calisthenics athlete Aytym Jakuov, players from hockey club "Barys", and representatives from state agencies.

The "Jetisu" park hosted a two-day-long family entertainment festival dubbed "BöpeFair" during the same period, offering a mix of fun activities – morning yoga, dance performances, children’s races, art and beauty competitions, kid's burgers, and evening dances. Unfortunately, details about the II International Clown Festival in Almaty remain scarce.
