The new supermarket also offers an in-store bakery and deli, an Asian wok station, a fresh-food bar with soup, salad, and fruit selections, a hickory wood smoker, a pizza oven, fresh sushi, and expanded grocery, frozen food, and produce departments with specialty, gourmet, and vegan items. There's even a wine-tasting station and seating area for customers to enjoy a glass of their favourite wine.
Food City, the supermarket chain, entered Alabama in 2021 with the opening of its first store in Albertville. The parent company, K-VA-T Food Stores, operates 161 retail outlets throughout Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama.
