United Mission to Nepal (UMN) Seeks Experienced Cluster Team Leader

United Mission to Nepal (UMN) is on the hunt for a passionate and visionary leader to fill the role of Cluster Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a deep-seated commitment to helping the poorest and most excluded people escape from poverty.

The successful candidate will be a values-driven individual with a minimum of five years' leadership experience in community development. They will also have a proven track record in people management and team building, as well as experience in strategy development.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills, including proficiency in the MS-Office Package. They will also be familiar with up-to-date poverty eradication strategies, policies, and development practices in Nepal and beyond.

The Cluster Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating and leading cluster activities within a specific sector, such as health, education, or WASH. They will facilitate collaboration and communication among cluster members, including NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will also ensure effective implementation of cluster strategies and action plans aligned with humanitarian response priorities. They will monitor and report on cluster progress, gaps, and challenges to higher management and donors. They will provide technical guidance and capacity building to cluster members and support emergency preparedness and response coordination.

The Cluster Team Leader role at UMN requires a degree in relevant fields such as social sciences, development studies, public health, or related disciplines. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, as is familiarity with the cluster approach in humanitarian response.

Experience working in Nepal or similar humanitarian contexts is usually preferred, and fluency in English and possibly Nepali or other local languages is required. Cross-cultural work experience is preferred, and a Master's Degree is preferred, although at least a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university is required.
