Orange Door Establishment in Clapham

The vibrant and inviting Little Orange Door, a new addition to the cocktail bar scene, has made its grand debut in Clapham. This unique venue, inspired by the concept of fictitious flatshares, offers a warm and unpretentious atmosphere that's sure to make you feel right at home.

The Little Orange Door, a branch of the growing brand Little Door & Co., has transformed a former restaurant into a stunning living-room-style space. The exterior, painted a bright teal blue with an eye-catching orange door, welcomes guests as they enter through a traditional garden gate near Clapham Common.

Upon entering, you'll find yourself in a domestic-sized lounge, awash in a colour scheme of bright orange and lime green. Large round wall mirrors, a roaring fireplace, giant table lamps, comfortable sofas, pouffes, and a collection of kitsch objects including photographs and ornaments create a cosy and welcoming ambiance.

For those seeking a more intimate setting, there's a small boudoir 'hideaway' lounge space with rich crimson drapes, red lighting, and a plush sofa. Meanwhile, a late night lounge space, adorned with bright blue gloss painted walls, offers Nintendo games and a fun, laid-back vibe.

The main room includes a bar with a hanging rack, kitchen utensils, a beer tap dispenser designed to look like a kitchen sink, long tables, a dining breakfast area, a grey 'art wall', and a variety of seating options. The conservatory, with exposed brick, painted sage green walls, numerous trailing plants, and an eclectic collection of pendant lighting, offers additional dining tables and chairs.

A miniature bath at the top of the stairs, surrounded by a painted mural wall, neon lighting, and a bubble machine, serves as a fun photo spot. The lounge space also includes artwork, assorted sofa, armchair, and pouffe seating, and unique lighting features.

The Little Orange Door offers guests a unique experience, including access to a fancy-dress box, cookery books, sofas by the fireplace, and retro console games. At the weekend, the venue hosts both dinner parties and house parties with DJs and live music.

Lalie Jacout, a co-owner of The Little Door & Co., expressed positive feedback about the interior design of The Little Orange Door, stating, "Everyone who has seen the interior has had a very positive response." The interior design, meant to resemble a home, aims to create a house-party vibe.

The Little Door & Co. is a young, growing brand pioneering a new slant on the hospitality industry. By creating venues which feel like walking into a home, they aim to provide an authentic customer experience through a series of house and dinner parties in a fun and intimate environment.

So, whether you're looking for a cosy corner to unwind, a lively spot to dance the night away, or a unique backdrop for your next Instagram post, The Little Orange Door is the perfect destination.
