Pforzheim's Frank Street Playground Revamped by Local Kids
The Frank Street playground in Broetzingen, Pforzheim, has been revamped with a budget of approximately 40,000 euros. The redesign process, which began in October 2017, involved local children and was inaugurated by Mayor Frank Fillbrunn and Building Inspector Marc-Tell Feltl.
The project started with a participation meeting where children from Class 1A of Broetzingen School shared their ideas and wishes. The Youth and Social Affairs Department and the Parks and Buildings Department worked together with these young minds to transform the playground. The redesigned space now boasts a large play castle, perfect for children aged 4 and above, featuring a flag with the Broetzingen district coat of arms. Additionally, two turtle seats and a modern wooden bench have been added to provide comfortable resting spots for guardians and children alike.
The redesigned Frank Street playground in Broetzingen was completed with a total cost of approximately 40,000 euros from the annual playground budget. The involvement of local children in the planning process has resulted in a playground that caters to their needs and reflects their creativity.
