Protests in Pius Park - Transition of Verbal Actions into Physical Demonstrations

Piling trash and rubbish in Pius Park sparks heated debates on the Facebook group 'My Ingolstadt', yet discussions are insufficient. Tired of endless conversations, René Teuschel took control – initiating a 'cleanup' initiative that not only fosters cleanliness but also serves as a model.

In the heart of Ingolstadt, the city known for its well-maintained public spaces like Klenze Park, a new initiative is taking shape. A community-led cleanup action, called Ramadama, has been initiated by René Teuschel, in response to growing concerns over litter in Pius Park.

The purpose of this action is straightforward: to collect litter, tidy up, and clean the park, making it a more beautiful and inviting space for all. The meeting point for this action is at the elevator in Pius Park, this Saturday, July 26th, at 10 am.

"Because: A clean park doesn't start with complaints, but with people who roll up their sleeves," said Sabine Hartmann, a local resident who has been actively involved in discussions about litter and debris in Pius Park on Facebook.

Every helping hand counts in this Ramadama action. Participants are welcome to come with a litter picker, broom, or simply in good spirits. Gloves and trash bags will be provided by the municipal operations.

"Talk alone isn't enough to address the issue of litter in Pius Park," said Teuschel. "We need action, and I believe that by working together, we can make a significant difference."

The Ramadama action is not just about cleaning Pius Park; it's also about setting an example for maintaining cleanliness in the city. It's a testament to the power of community engagement in preserving public spaces.

As a token of appreciation, a small snack will be offered to all diligent helpers. So, if you're looking for a way to give back to your community, join the Ramadama action on Saturday, July 26th, at 10 am. Let's work together to keep our city beautiful!

While municipal responsibility is central for park cleaning and maintenance, as supported by the condition of parks in Ingolstadt, individual engagement in the form of public awareness, respect for park rules, and community clean-up initiatives enhances the cleanliness and preservation of these spaces. However, the bigger question remains: In a large city like Ingolstadt, does it really have to rely on individual engagement to keep our parks clean?

  1. Embarking on outdoor-living endeavors within Pius Park, after the successful cleanup action, could further highlight the lifestyle benefits of maintaining clean home-and-garden spaces within a city.
  2. The Ramadama action, initiated to beautify and maintain Pius Park, invites community members to transition towards a lifestyle that champions outdoor-living, embedding a focus on cleanliness and home-and-garden care in the heart of Ingolstadt.
