Revamped Novara Ipercoop: A Shopper-Friendly Makeover
After a lengthy renovation, the Ipercoop located at the San Martino 2 shopping center in Novara, Italy, has received a complete facelift. Kicking off in January, the revamp was executed meticulously, keeping the store open to minimize disruption for shoppers.
The transformation touched every corner of the store, adapting it to the new hypermarket format devised by Nova Coop. The refresh encompassed environment, furnishings, visual identity, and the introduction of the latest Fiorfiore Café, a dining spot for hot and cold dishes, which has been operational daily since long, serving breakfast to aperitivo.
The Novara Ipercoop, initially opened in 2002, had previously undergone a significant renovation in 2015, redefining the sales area and merchandise selection. Although this new renovation kept the commercial area unaltered at 4,960 square meters, it focused primarily on technological updates and aesthetic improvements.
An exciting addition to the renovated Ipercoop is the introduction of a second entrance, strategically positioned between the new Fiorfiore Café and its food and beverage distribution area. Shoppers can enter directly into the expanded Fresh Produce Square, boasting fresh fruit, vegetables, and self-service refrigerated counters with ready-to-eat dishes, cold cuts, dairy products, meats, and fish. The perimeter of the sales area is also home to remodeled departments, including Gastronomy, Fishmonger, and Butcher, all adhering to the new format.
The cashier area has been drastically redesigned to boost efficiency, technology, and functionality. It now features 9 "Fast Lane" checkouts for quick shopping needs, 6 "Time Saver" checkouts for Coop members, with scan-able terminals at both entrances, and 10 conventional checkout points arranged in pairs for optimal ergonomics and operator comfort. The modern cashier configuration also ensures speed and precision in transactions with automated payment system integrations.
In this revamped Novara Ipercoop, shoppers can now enjoy an updated lifestyle experience as the makeover focuses on several changes, including technological updates and aesthetic improvements within the home-and-garden and shopping sectors. The new renovation not only incorporates the latest Fiorfiore Café but also adds a second entrance leading straight into the expanded Fresh Produce Square, offering a wide variety of self-service food options.
