Renovation spanning nearly five years: Leipzig's ancient high-end hotel marks its triumphant return
After a period of closure due to the Corona pandemic, Leipzig's Lumière Boutiquehotel im Fürstenhof has reopened its doors, showcasing a refreshed and revitalised interior. The hotel, once a popular destination for celebrities and stars, has undergone extensive renovations, preserving its familiar style while adopting a new operating concept.
The hotel's corridors on the upper floors now reveal a large wall of artworks, adding a touch of elegance to the establishment. The renovation work, which began after the pandemic, took longer than anticipated due to worker shortages, supply chain issues, and a lack of craftsmen.
All rooms, bathrooms, bars, and common areas have been revamped, offering guests a comfortable and modern stay. The hotel now boasts the Brockhaus Suite, an exclusive 100 square meter room, and unique Connecting Rooms, ideal for larger groups. Five more rooms will be created in the attic, convertible into a large attic apartment.
The hotel's new concept extends beyond its rooms, with the addition of a wellness and fitness area in the basement, set to open soon and available to both overnight guests and Leipzig residents. The wellness area will be complemented by a bar and lounge, hosting after-work events, fashion nights, and art exhibitions.
Lucille Kristiansen, the hotel's manager, expresses optimism for the hotel's future. She aims to position the Lumière Boutiquehotel im Fürstenhof as a "place-to-be" for Leipzig, potentially attracting celebrities. The hotel's reopening comes as it rebrands under the name "Lumière Boutiquehotel im Fürstenhof Leipzig".
Detailed information about any ongoing or planned renovations can be found on the hotel's official website or by contacting them directly. Prices for rooms range from 159 to 1049 euros, influenced by season and events.
The hotel, which was sold to the Vicus Group in 2018, is once again a vibrant part of Leipzig's landscape, offering guests and locals a unique blend of history and modernity.
The newly revamped Lumière Boutiquehotel im Fürstenhof Leipzig, now a blend of history and modernity, offers its guests a home-and-garden atmosphere with artworks adorning the walls on the upper floors, bolstering the hotel's lifestyle appeal. In addition to the overhauled rooms, the establishment will unveil a wellness and fitness area, a bar, and a lounge, catering to both hotel residents and Leipzig locals, elevating the hotel's standing as a preferred destination for stars and fashion enthusiasts.
