Sparkassen Foundation Gifts 'The Mysterious Sea' to Meerbusch Schools, Inspiring Art and History
The Sparkassen foundation and sponsors have ensured that the book 'The Mysterious Sea' will not be available for purchase, aligning with their purpose. Written by journalist and author Birgit Wilms, the book has been funded by Sparkassenstiftung in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. Around 5,500 copies have been printed and will be distributed to kindergartens and elementary schools in Meerbusch, with translations in French, Japanese, Ukrainian, and English for distribution in partner cities.
The works of young artists will be exhibited at the Sparkassen branch on Dorfstraße in Meebusch-Büderich, with an awards ceremony during the exhibition opening. Mayor Christian Bommers will attend the event. The book 'The Mysterious Sea' is the inspiration behind a painting competition for Meerbusch elementary schools, launched by Sparkasse Neuss. Winners will receive prize money for their class funds.
Characters Mia and Ben from the book will take Meerbusch children on a time-travel adventure through the city's history. The booklet will be distributed by the city administration's courier service, with at least part of the print run distributed by the fall vacation.
The book 'The Mysterious Sea' is a collaborative effort between journalist and author Birgit Wilms, Sparkassenstiftung in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, and Sparkasse Neuss. It aims to engage young minds, foster creativity, and promote cultural exchange, with translations reaching partner cities and friendly city of Loose Creek/Missouri.
