Speed is Worth the Effort.
On September 5, 2025, the Municipal Environmental Protection Department of Gütersloh initiated a special event to distribute 50 fruit trees at a discounted price. However, the reason behind the discount and the event venue were not disclosed.
Citizens interested in participating can choose from eleven different varieties: six apple trees, two pear trees, one plum, one walnut, one chestnut, and one pear tree. Each participant will receive a specific pickup time slot.
Orders can be placed immediately, and the application form is available online at www.nature.ourwebsite. After payment, a confirmation and the tree will be sent to the participant. It's important to note that if payment is not received on time, the next person on the waiting list will be contacted.
The discounted price for the fruit trees was not detailed, and no information was provided about who was eligible to purchase the trees at the discounted rate.
Alongside the tree, a planting kit with a stake, coconut string, and planting instructions will be provided. The GNU (Society for Nature and Environmental Protection in the Gütersloh District) will also be present to provide tips on natural garden design for more biodiversity at home.
For any environmental protection inquiries, residents can contact Mrs. Rebecca Motz, while questions regarding the fruit tree distribution event can be directed to Hans-Bernd Hensen at 05241 / 82-2084 or by email at environment@ourwebsite.
As of now, the location for the fruit tree distribution event has not been specified. However, it has been announced that the event will take place on November 22, 2025, at Westring 119.
For those who are keen on contributing to a greener city and cultivating their own fruit trees, this event near me presents a unique chance to do so while supporting the local environment. Stay tuned for more updates on the fruit tree distribution event.
