Starbucks establishes a new location in Mülheim-Kärlich during the year 2026

In an exciting development for coffee and fashion enthusiasts in Koblenz, Starbucks and Primark have announced plans to establish new branches in the city.

The upcoming Starbucks location will be situated in the Mülheim-Kärlich industrial park, a site previously home to a shoe palace. This will mark the fourth Starbucks branch in the Koblenz area, joining existing branches at the Forum Mittelrhein in Koblenz, a motorway service area in Niederzissen on the A61, and at the Fashion Outlet Center in Montabaur.

Starbucks carefully selects new locations based on several key criteria, including market demand and customer demographics, mobile payment and digital integration, regulatory compliance, and investment in property suitability. These factors ensure that new stores are well-positioned to meet local consumer preferences and offer a seamless customer experience.

Primark, headquartered in Seattle and founded in 1971, is also set to open its doors in Mülheim-Kärlich. The retail giant's planned sales area will span approximately 2,100 square meters, making it a significant addition to the local shopping scene. As of now, Primark is represented in more than 80 countries worldwide.

Interestingly, the Starbucks branch in Mülheim-Kärlich will not be located in the Haribo Shop premises on Industriestraße 53, as Primark will be occupying that space. The exact opening date for both businesses has not been confirmed yet, but both Starbucks and Primark are aiming for 2026.

Starbucks currently operates around 180 locations in Germany, and the company's commitment to accessibility and inclusive design aligns with its Inclusive Spaces Framework, ensuring new stores meet high standards for accessibility and customer experience.

The Rhein-Zeitung has confirmed the upcoming Starbucks opening in a separate report, adding to the anticipation among locals and coffee lovers alike. As these two global brands prepare to join the Koblenz retail landscape, it's an exciting time for the city and its residents.
