Street Celebration in Dusseldorf's Flingern Neighborhood on Flurstraße this Saturday

The 45th edition of the Flingern Citizens' Initiative Street Festival is set to take place on May 31st, promising a day filled with excitement and fun. The event, organised by the Flingern Citizens' Initiative, will unfold in the vibrant neighbourhood around Flurstraße, Schwelmerstraße, Bruchstraße, and Karl-Wagner-Platz.

The festival will kick off at 8 am and continue until 6 pm, with performances starting as early as 9:15 am. The large stage, set up at the intersection of Schwelmerstraße and Bruchstraße, will host a variety of acts throughout the day. Acrobatics, hip hop, the Gerresheim Citizens' Guard, the Judi Sports School, the Düsseldorf Dance Sports Guard, Absoluttanzbar, Music4ce, and the band Poke are just a few of the acts set to perform.

In addition to the stage programme, the street flea market is a highlight of the festival. Private vendors will be offering a range of treasures, making it a great place to find unique items. Local initiatives will also set up information stands, providing an opportunity to learn more about various community projects.

The school on Flurstraße will also join in the festivities, with stands and activities on the schoolyard during the street festival. Kaspar Michels and Anne Menges will be on hand to provide information about the work of the FlingerPfad.

With 200 stand places for vendors and refreshments available throughout the day, there's plenty to keep visitors fuelled and shopping. However, it's worth noting that vendor stand places are traditionally taken quickly, so those interested in selling goods are encouraged to secure their spot early.
