The much-anticipated Ferragosto Festival in Bronx's Little Italy makes a comeback in September

The much-anticipated Ferragosto Festival is set to return to Bronx Little Italy this September, bringing with it a celebration of Italian harvest traditions and the rich heritage of Arthur Avenue in the Bronx.

The festival will take place on Sunday, September 7th, from 12 PM to 6 PM. The main stage for live entertainment is located on East 186th St., between Arthur Ave. & Hughes Ave., while the festival itself spans Arthur Avenue between East 187th St. & Crescent Ave. in the Belmont neighborhood of the Bronx.

The Ferragosto Festival honours the end of the harvest season and the enjoyment of its fruits, as well as the gods and goddesses, to ensure a bountiful harvest. This annual event has been a staple of the Bronx Little Italy community for over two decades, and the organisers are excited to welcome everyone back.

Visitors can expect a delightful array of authentic Italian cuisine, including pizza, pasta, and various desserts, from vendors such as Artuso Pastry Shop, Calabria Pork Store, Emilia's Restaurant, Funici A'Pizza, Mario's Restaurant, Pasquale's Rigoletto Restaurant, Randazzo's Seafood, Ristorante San Gennaro, Vincent's Meat Market, and others.

The festival also offers the chance to experience the rich Italian roots and authentic charm of the neighbourhood, with live music and lively performances adding to the festive atmosphere. Rain or shine, the celebration will go on, making it a perfect day out for families and friends.

For those planning to attend, parking is available at Fordham University (685 E Fordham Rd) for $10, with a free shuttle from 11 AM to 7 PM.
