Obertshausen Book Club Introduces New Collection of City Souvenirs
The city of Obertshausen, located in the district of Offenbach, has recently unveiled a new collection of souvenirs, courtesy of the Obertshausen Book Club. This exciting development, presented in 2023 by Anja Sauer, the owner of the book club in Schulstraße, is set to strengthen local ties and serve as charming gifts or keepsakes.
For years, the city has been giving away souvenirs adorned with an 'Obertshausen stamp' at jubilees and other events. The new edition, however, introduces a creative twist to this tradition. The collection includes mugs featuring designs of the train station, the Book Club, St. Joseph's Church, the Sacred Heart Church, and the Night Watchman. Each mug boasts an open book with the inscription 'Obertshausen' on the inner rim, adding a unique touch.
In addition to the mugs, there are refrigerator magnets and bookmarks with designs of the train station and the Book Club. Holger Bischoff from the City Marketing Association sees these souvenirs as an enrichment for the city, believing that city marketing works well with the great Obertshausen souvenirs from the Book Club.
Mayor Manuel Friedrich has expressed his pleasure with the new products, stating that they are great for bringing back as souvenirs and giving as gifts. City residents can now purchase these souvenirs and reap the benefits of the O-Card, a point collection system of Obertshausen's shops, making the purchase even more attractive.
