Universum Bremen sets stage for Sterneguck's concert performance
The city of Bremen is gearing up for a unique event this August, the Sternschaukonzert 2025. This open-air concert, held under the stars, promises a festive cultural experience like no other.
The event takes place on the plaza of the Universum Bremen on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Admission starts at 7:00 PM.
Regular admission for the Sternschaukonzert is 15 euros, while reduced admission is 10 euros. Children under 6 years old are free. Tickets can be purchased at shop.universum-bremen.de.
This year's Sternschaukonzert features a lineup of musicians inspired by travel, offering a diverse range of genres. Among them are Ameel Hotaky, a singer-songwriter from Weyhe who teaches herself various instruments and uses loops to create her unique band sound. Ameel sings English indie and folk songs.
Saliou Cissokho, a musician from Germany, plays the kora, a 21-stringed west African harp, which has been part of Senegalese culture for over 800 years. Saliou's kora has accompanied him throughout his life.
The 1st Bremen Ukulele Orchestra, a staple of the Bremen music scene for over a decade, will also be performing. This orchestra consists of 25 to 30 musicians who play chansons, pop songs, and shanties on their four-stringed guitars.
In addition to the musical acts, astronomer Andreas Vogel from the Olbers Planetarium in Bremen will provide thought-provoking journeys to the stars.
The Sternschaukonzert is also known for its special guest, the Perseids meteor shower. Keep your eyes to the sky during the concert for a chance to witness this regular meteor shower.
