Urgent Calls for "Emergency" Plans in 2024 Being Solicited
The City of Pforzheim, Germany, is set to host the third annual Honors Evening in September 2024. This prestigious event aims to honour individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to civic engagement within the city.
Nominations for these honours can be submitted until March 3, 2024, either online at www.pforzheim.de/ehrungsabend or in writing. The submission process is open to all, regardless of residence, and there is no limit to the number of nominees.
The Honors Evening recognises achievements in several categories. Up to three representatives of a "new, innovative, and forward-looking project" can be honoured, as well as up to three representatives of an "established project" that has "sustainably established" the respective project in the city.
Individuals with at least ten years of engagement in associations, initiatives, or institutions, as well as those with at least ten years of experience as a coach, department head, project leader, or in a political function, are eligible for nomination. Additionally, persons under 25 years of age who have demonstrated "young engagement" or significantly contributed to the establishment of a new offer are also eligible.
The jury for the honors is composed of members from the participation council and the business area of communication and international relations. The exact date and location of the event in September 2024 have not yet been specified.
