Meet the team:
Rosee Woodland, Editor
Adventure ignited in Rosee at a young age, growing up with camping holidays as the norm rather than the exception. A bike-packing journey across France with her family in her teen years kicked off her solo adventures, often without the luxury of advanced gear.[3] As a mountain biking journalist, she found an appreciation for quality equipment that serves her well today. She adores water-based activities and is a certified outdoor swim coach, free diver, and hiker. The Mourne Mountains and Pembrokeshire in the UK capture her heart, along with kayaking in the southwest.[3]

Julia Clarke, Senior Staff Writer
Julia Clarke serves as the senior staff writer for Adventure.com. A Scottish author, mountain enthusiast, and yoga teacher, her passion lies in heading uphill on foot, ski, bike, or belay.[4] After living for 20 years in the USA, 11 in Vail, Colorado – home to world-renowned peaks and rivers – she returned to her hometown of Glasgow. She champions responsible enjoyment of the outdoors as well as maintaining balance through rest and meditation, which she explores in her book Restorative Yoga for Beginners.[6]

He boasts over 20 years of tracking adventure stories under his belt, having canoed Canada's Yukon River, climbed Mont Blanc and Kilimanjaro, and skied and mountain biked through the Norwegian Alps, among other escapades.[5] He's authored walking guides for Devon and Dorset and ventured into the jungle for a book on Toilets for Lonely Planet.[5]

Affiliate Advertising Disclosure
We're devoted to helping you find the finest products and services for your needs and connecting you with trustworthy retailers where you can purchase them competitively. Inside our editorial content, we provide links to products and services on retailer sites for which we may receive compensation, called an affiliate fee, if you click on those links or make a purchase through them. This affiliate fee comes from the retailer and doesn't directly affect the price you pay for the product or service.
To ensure our unbiased and expert product selection, editorial teams select gear and services based on their objective judgement and relevance to the readers' needs and article content. Retailers or commercial agreements do not influence product selection – the criteria are based solely on usefulness and value to our readers.
Our curated product widgets in our articles are designed to help you find the best products and services at competitive prices from trusted retailers. These widgets are powered by our own software, called Hawk. We make every effort to keep the product and price information in these widgets up-to-date.[11] Although retailers may update their prices before the ads displayed by Hawk are updated, we strive to display the latest information available. Keep in mind that retailers may also add delivery or other costs to the purchasing price – please consult the retailer's site for more information. The affiliate fees we receive help us to continue developing Hawk and cover website costs, including our team's salaries.
We also run advertising in various forms. Ads on our websites are designed to be clearly distinguishable from our editorial articles.
From time to time, we publish paid-for editorial content on our site.[12] This content is labeled to indicate who funded the content and its method of creation. We provide a full guide to content funding here.[12] In addition, you can review the terms and conditions applicable to your use of our sites right here.
