Weekly Recognition: Honoree of the Fourth Week: You!

In the heart of Worcester, Massachusetts, Holy Cross College student Viveca Stucke '26 has found a unique rhythm that blends academics, extracurricular activities, and a touch of college humour.

Stucke, who currently holds the title of 'Chief of Being Asked to be Crusader of the Week', has a favourite class that seems somewhat unconventional - The Art of Timing Your Grubhub Perfectly. This course, it seems, is more about managing college life than mathematics or literature.

When it comes to entertainment, Stucke enjoys the Limited Series of "Spotting Rougeau on Campus" and It's Always Snowy in Worcester. The former, a running joke among students about a fellow Holy Cross resident, and the latter, a reality that students have come to accept with a mix of amusement and frustration.

Upon waking each morning, Stucke expresses gratitude for not having to face the dreaded Brooks Hall, a notorious dormitory on campus. Her day is made better by small things such as clean Stein bathrooms, the illusion of cardio from climbing the campus hills, and the satisfaction of a well-prepared coffee from Cool Beans.

Stucke's favourite song is a serene melody that echoes through Dinand Library, aptly named "Silence in Dinand Library". However, her college experience hasn't been without its embarrassing moments. One such incident involved a tumble down the Dinand Steps, spilling a Cool Beans coffee on Hogan 1 in front of everyone.

Ambition drives Stucke, as she strives to tick off items on her Holy Cross Bucket List, such as becoming Crusader of the Week. Her favourite spot on campus is the tranquil Wheeler Beach, a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle of college life.

Stucke is a double major in Burnout and Overcommitment, with a minor in Gifted Kid Studies. She is actively involved in campus life, climbing 40 flights of stairs a day, leading six clubs, and even serving as a backup dancer for Professor Isaacs.

Off-campus, Stucke can be found enjoying cheap leftovers from the Wendy's parking lot on Southbridge St. Her favourite colour palette ranges from purple to amethyst, and she looks forward to bragging to her family about her hard work and academic achievements, which earned her 500 LinkedIn connections and a summer internship.

As for the future, Stucke's post-graduation plans remain undisclosed. But for now, she continues to navigate the hills of Holy Cross with grace, humour, and a spirit of determination.
