Wesel's PPP Days Devoid of Ferris Wheel yet Offering Affordable Pricing

The PPP Days have officially begun at the Weseler Rheinpromenade, and this year's fairground offers a variety of attractions for visitors. Among the new additions are the "Steamer," a rotating Flipper-style carousel with tilting gondolas, and the Bungee trampoline, both priced at five euros per ride.

For those seeking thrilling experiences, the X-Factor, a long arm swing ride operated by Franz Deinert, and the Break Dancer, are available at the same price of five euros per ride. For a more relaxed and family-friendly experience, the Jumbo carousel, with its charming elephant design, offers rides at four euros each.

The Music Express, an old-timer among the rides on the Wesel fairground, has been comprehensively restored two years ago, including a switch to LED technology. Despite the upgrade, the price for a ride remains the same as it was before. However, operator Wilhelm Krabbe revealed that the maintenance costs have increased due to higher connection costs associated with the LED technology.

Unfortunately, the Ferris wheel and the announced ghost house will not be available this year. Visitors can still enjoy a variety of arcade games, such as claw machines and oversized plush toy cutting games, which usually cost one or two euros per attempt.

Friday at the PPP Days brings an opening offer for rides, with the Steamer, Bungee trampoline, and the Music Express available at three euros each. The weather on Friday is cloudy and drizzling, but fair organizer Judith Böttner remains hopeful for many visitors in the coming days.

It's worth noting that the prices for rides at the PPP fair are moderate compared to large funfairs in the Ruhr area. Visitors can also save money by buying multiple attempts or ride chips at once, resulting in a cheaper cost per attempt.

For the most up-to-date information about the rides and their prices at the PPP Days event in Wesel for 2023, we recommend checking the official PPP Days Wesel website or local event announcements and social media channels related to the festival.

For those wanting a change from the exhilarating rides, the Jumbo carousel, with its soothing elephant design, offers a more serene home-and-garden lifestyle ambiance at the fair, priced at four euros per ride. In addition, those seeking a quieter environment can enjoy various relaxing activities in the home-and-garden section of the PPP Days, such as flower arrangement workshops or gardening displays.
