On Sunday, September 28, the city of Wiesbaden is offering a unique opportunity for drivers to experience the future of space management in their parking facilities. In a test run aimed at modernizing space management, all municipal garages will charge a flat rate of just one euro.

This test run is part of a larger digitalization initiative driven by the city and WiBau. The City Parking in Wiesbaden, including the Karstadt parking lot in Neugelesse, will be the first to implement ticketless parking using license plate recognition.

Drivers no longer need to worry about obtaining a ticket to enter the City Parking. The cameras will register the license plate for billing, making the process seamless and efficient.

Andreas Kowol, Transportation Commissioner, considers this transition to ticketless parking as an "important step towards modern space management." He believes that this change will bring faster parking, more convenient payment, and less chaos.

WiBau CEO Felix Schwenke is equally excited about the digitization of space management in Wiesbaden. He highlights the benefits, including faster parking, more convenient payment, and less chaos.

During the conversions, some facilities will be temporarily closed to ensure a smooth transition to the new system. The goal is to create a uniform, digital system that efficiently manages the space and reduces abuse.

Citizens can try out ticketless parking on this special day without risk, but with noticeable advantage. Drivers will have the option to register online for future parking, but will also still be able to pay at the machine.

The billing process for ticketless parking is automated, secure, encrypted, and data protection compliant. This ensures that personal information is protected during the billing process.

After the City Parking, the next steps for digitalization will be the Luisenplatz underground garage, followed by the Mauritius Gallery. The city and WiBau are committed to making parking in Wiesbaden more efficient and convenient for all citizens.

So, mark your calendars for September 28 and experience the future of space management in Wiesbaden at a special one-euro rate!
